Springfield, MO’s avant garde restaurant bringing you the comfort of real food served in the historic space of Rogers and Baldwin Hardware on Downtown’s Patton Alley.
It’s been a pleasure serving you.
Social on Patton Restaurant and Art Gallery will be closing June 30th, 2019. After putting forth our best effort to provide Springfield a unique dining experience coupled with fine art in one of Springfield’s most amazing historic downtown spaces, we’ve been unable to attract the patronage required to sustain operations. We thank our incredibly talented and committed staff who’ve made “Eating, Drinking, and Being Social and all of you who are our loyal guests, our vendors who have allowed us to bring the very best of food and drink to our table, Tillman Redevelopment that has supported us in making the historic Rogers and Baldwin Hardware space a jewel in our city’s crown, Pickwick Underground Framing that has made every exhibit unique and amazing, and all the community organizations supporting our endeavor. May we raise a House Old Fashioned in toasting 417 Magazine, Springfield News Leader, Springfield Regional Arts Council, First Friday Art Walk, Feast Magazine, Springfield Regional Opera, Springfield Drury Civic Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, History Museum on the Square and The Historic Fox Theatre, Springfield Downtown Association and Springfield Missouri Convention and Visitors Bureau. Our very special appreciation goes to our partner in community service and recipient of our directed philanthropy, Harmony House. Be sure to attend our special dining and gallery events, plan your own events and spend your gift cards while you can. It’s been a pleasure serving you. Your Social on Patton Team.
Social is the foundation of our restaurant: here for each other, our guests, our community - a unique blend of social responsibility, personal improvement and community spirit.
We are Springfield’s avant garde restaurant bringing you the comfort of real food served in the historic space of Rogers and Baldwin Hardware on Downtown’s Patton Alley.
Chef Dan’s seasoned and talented team have created an innovative approach to crafting a seasonal menu of cravable food and drink that is value priced.
Newly established in 2018, Social wants to be YOUR choice in dining out. R & D Night (Research & Development) provides an informal get together in the Cellar every Monday evening for our guests to preview future fair as it is being shared and served by our chefs and beverage pioneers.
Tuesday thru Saturday dinner is served in the Cellar Bar, in what is best described as extending our Chef’s Table to the entire restaurant. Available for parties up to 10, the Chef’s table gives our guests the opportunity for Dan to create a personalized off-menu dining experience of food and drink selected to perfectly pair and complement each other. These evenings have a way of eventually finding a place on the menu.
Here at Social, we are proud to announce our partnership with Harmony House! With a driven focus on community engagement and philanthropy, we are transforming our downtown space to a gallery featuring local artists, and we will be directing profits from the gallery to Harmony House.
You will discover our entire staff serving you, perhaps with the chef who created or prepared a dish placing it in front of you and hoping it will be a pleasurable experience. Our “family dinner” takes place on the Monday prior to introducing the seasonal change of our menu. Prepared and served to our team by Josiah and by Vincent, our drink explorer and developer, it provides each one of us a personal experience to share with you in telling our story.
Come join us at Social and enjoy!
Eat Social. Drink Social. Be Social.
Anthony Ponseigo, Head Bartender
Anthony is a bartender with a passion for all things spirits, wines and beer. He always seeks to bring out the best flavors in both food and beverages through his pairings. His love for finding and creating new flavors and combinations shows itself on our R&D nights, which are his favorite night every week!
Daniel Stern, Executive Chef
After graduating from the San Diego Culinary Institute, Daniel returned to his Springfield home to focus his culinary enthusiasm, chef skills and cooking activities on creative interpretations of American Cuisine. Always eager to talk about things "Foodie" related, he looks forward to his continued efforts to grow and elevate Springfield’s food culture. While he’s definitely still part of the family here at Social, you’ll find him in the Team Taco food truck around town!
Doug Riddle, Previous Beverage Manager
Former professional brewer, baker, and educator, Doug now creates cocktails, talks about spirits/beer/wine/anything and everything, and specializes in “R&D” (which means going places and eating and drinking as much as possible). Doug is still a member of the Social family, but now you’ll find him next to Chef Daniel with the Team Taco crew!
